Dr. Jessica Barton
Dr. Jessica Barton grew up in Kendallville, Indiana, always knowing that she wanted to be a part of the medical field. In high school she participated in a program that allowed her to shadow professionals in various areas of medicine, including doctors' offices, chiropractors, physical therapy, surgeries, and a dental office. She immediately fell in love with the ability to help fix people’s smiles and change their perception of dentistry, and has made it her life’s mission to do so.
Dr. Barton completed her undergraduate degree at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). She then attended Indiana University School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. For the next three years, she served in the United States Air Force as a dentist before settling in Indianapolis to continue practicing dentistry.
One of her favorite things about being a dentist, and running her own practice, is being able to change people's preconceptions about dentistry. She believes that patients shouldn’t be worried about pain or being uncomfortable while work is being done to improve their health. She's shaped her dental practice around keeping her patients completely at ease during their visits.
As the most-frequently used dental implant, single-tooth implants are made up of two main parts. The dental implant, or post, is a titanium rod with a screw-like shape. A dental crown is the restoration that is usually applied to the single implant.
If you suffer from tooth loss, single dental implants can restore your smile and confidence by enhancing your functionality and overall oral health. Known as one of the most secure and long-lasting tooth replacement options available, dental implants can seamlessly blend in with the rest of your teeth so you can start smiling again.
